As Turkey’s fırst and only registered large heliport, the Kaan Air Heliport built by Başarı Holding in the year 2012 in Maslak/Ayazağa, was put into service by Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Binali Yıldırım and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yıldız.

Kaan Heliport, recieving the largest heliport licence has become Turkey’s firstv and only helicopter airport. Kaan’s heliport is located in the center of Istanbul, Maslak-Ayazağa. In the 22 acres, 11 acres is apron area nad the hangar has a capacity to host 16 large helicopters. Kaan heliport, which has become a regional maintenance and repair center for Leonardo (AgustaWestland) and EASA approved for JAR145 standards, also serves as hangar space, and helicopter interior assembly center. Besides helicopter rental, technıcal consultancy and meaintenance services, KAAN air also has a fully equipped office areas where guest pilots and technicians can be hosted.

In the year 2016, Kaan heliport has been adapted for night flights and recieved the “compli,ance with night flights” certificate from Civil Aviation in Turkey. The helicopter tours over Istanbul conducted by Kaan Air, providing services 24 hours a day, is now also available during night time.

Transfers between heliports and airports, during peak hours of traffic in İstanbul can also be conducted easily at night time as well. In addition to the services mentiond, KAAN heliport, 5-minute flight from the city center, is used extensively for night photography/filming. Kaan air has once again proven its strength and importance to the sector with its last link it has added to the chain of services it offers.
