Kaan Air and Leonardo-Finmeccanica have expanded their agreement covering the distribution of the 2.8-7-tonne model range of helicopters in Turkey, it was announced on 24 May.

The models covered by the agreement currently include the AW119 Koala utility helicopter, AW139 intermediate twin-engine helicopter, and GrandNew light twin-engine helicopter. This will now be extended to see the new-generation AW189 8.3/8.6-tonne and AW169 4.6-tonne helicopters distributed by Kaan Air in Turkey.

The agreement will expand Leonardo-Finmeccanica’s presence in the Turkish commercial helicopter market. The company has already sold over 30 helicopters in this market so far for aerial works, emergency medical service and executive/private transport duties.
